New Sales Position - Sales Manager Destination DC, Washington DC CVB


JOB DESCRIPTION


Title: Sales Manager - Destination DC (DDC), the convention & visitors bureau for Washington DC


Full-time & permanent sales position with office based in Marlow, Buckinghamshire


Reporting to: Maxine MacPherson: Founder & Managing Director AbleMaxx


Salary: Based on experience. This position could suit someone currently in a supporting role who wishes to take the next step in managing their own destination account


Key Role Objectives

· Ambassador of Destination DC within the UK MICE market

· Management and execution of an agreed annual sales and marketing plan

· Responsible for distribution of Destination DC lead marketing within the UK MICE market

· Industry networking & liaison

· Provision and conversion of corporate event opportunities for the city


Scope of Services

· Monthly sales activities and follow-up of lead opportunities with provision of a monthly sales report

· Provision of sales and marketing information and knowledge support

· Industry networking & liaison with corporate and agency event planners, airlines and relevant hotel groups

· Provision of leads to the CVB and/or CVB partners

· Management and execution of an agreed annual sales and marketing plan including planning and execution of an annual week long sales mission, fam trips, educational activities, workshops and other activities as agreed

· Dissemination of regular html e-mailings to the industry with information provided by Destination DC

· Social media sharing with given and approved marketing pieces to share with contacts

· Collaboration with industry partners

· Travel for educational, marketing and client familiarisations
